After Google Spreadsheets, Microsoft Office 2007 goes online
2 weeks after Google announced the release of its ASP spreadsheets software, Microsoft launches Office 2007 online: you don´t need to download anything, so it won´t take too much space on your hard drive. And you can access it anywhere.
This is just the beginning of the Google-Microsoft

Since we are talking about “Google” (more or less…) did you guys know that they have launched today Google Check-Out? (www.googlecheckout.com). Now you can buy your products with your google account. You just have to open a check-out account (fill your bank and credit card info) and you are good to go. One thing though: it won’t work if your google account isn’t a US account; and also, it will take time before the main e-commerce website gives you the opportunity to actually use this paying method.
For those wondering: this won’t be free for the vendors; google will charge a fixed 20 cents and a variable 2.2% for that.

With the new Office (the 2007) design, look & feel, Microsoft have made a giant leap. True that it takes time to get use to the new ribbon and to get around quickly.. But once you are familiar with it, you rock!
We do a lot of researches on the web, and using Excel macros,
we have improved our research speed in 30%. That huge!!
Using OneNote have improved our research information control (nothing get lost now) and with the sharing files abilities, now everyone can contribute to the project.
So to summary it all, we are more then happy with the tools that comes in the Office 2007.
