Field trip with my classmates to Grenoble, on business
Tomorrow morning, I’ll be heading with my IT Master program classmates to Grenoble, a French town in Isère, between Lyon and Italy to make it short.
We’ve got a busy schedule and I’ll try to keep blogging about the company visits and lectures we will enjoy.
Here’s a quick overview of what we’ll do:
- on Wednesday: visit of the CEA’s LETI in the morning. CEA is a major French Government research agency mainly involved in energy science. However, LETI (meaning Laboratoire d’Electronique et de Technologies de l’Information: Electronics and IT lab) is known for its leadership in fields such as nano-technologies and telecommunications.
- On Thursday: France Telecom R&D, one of the main labs of the French leading telecom operator, ENSIMAG, a top computer science engineering school in France, and Calistel, a voice communication company (VoIP implementation, call centers, software, etc.).
- On Friday: French-Italian chips manufacturer ST Microelectronics and IT services company UNILOG.
We tried hard to get to visit HP and/or Soitec, but they couldn’t make it. Too bad!
Anyways, the schedule for the week looks very exciting. I’ll keep you posted anyways.
