This week, I’ll make a small but significant move regarding the philosophy of this weblog.

    teasing becomes a habit on blogs, and i find it annoying. Let’s not take over bad habits from mainstream media into the young blogosphere.

    Why not David? I actually never saw a mainstream media teasing for instance, TV watchers: “Hey guys, something big happened in New York, with planes, terrorists and all – but try to guess what this is until we finish polishing our breaking news report”.

    Mainstream media never use teasing to market themselves or their programs. Most try to get the ‘information’ as soon as they can to outperform the competition – which often leads to misinforming people too. So, I believe that since the topics I try to tackle aren’t as critical as the actual World News, if there’s one place I might intend to tease, it should be my own blog.

    By the way David, this post wasn’t properly a teasing. I’m just getting my back-office ready before announcing anything and the time being, I thought I would write a short post to prepare my readership for the announcement. That’s it! You don’t have to take a guess or anything.

    Though we don’t know each other, I’m glad to find you over here, and your blog is pretty good.

    Jeremy, maybe i need to better explain what i meant with MM teasing. How often does it happen that in a newspaper you see an add for a magazine for instance with the cover saying ‘all you always wanted to know about…’ and then you buy teh magazine, and all you have is 4 pages of big pictures and nothing really new? same on television… as you say your post is maybe more ‘information’ than teasing. I’ll surely keep reading you in my netvibes.

    Thanks David, I actually already had you in my RSS feeder (Netvibes too));

    i can’t wait! it’s like waiting for christmas but a thousand times!

  6. Based on what you’ve written in the past, I can probably venture a few guesses. But I don’t want to spoil the fun :)

    No Vince, it’s not what you’re thinking…
