"Guess who I am!" N.6 – read the description of an entrepreneur and guess who this is

This week-end, few connections with IT (new readers feeling like taking a look at former IT entrepreneur “Guess who I am” may search “Guess who” in the search bar on your right hand – it’s definitely not a difficult one. However, you’ll have to be in a “think outside the box” mood to find who I’m talking quickly. Good luck!

“Hi! I’ve been for about two decades the CEO of a company that partly bears my name. My company is definitely not a Fortune 500 corporation, although 2000 people apply every month for a headcount of 3000. I’m not a boring, but rather a laid back, take it easy sort of leader. I cannot reveal my nationality or Jeremy’s game would become too easy in a wink, but let’s say that I don’t have a nationality anymore. I travel worldwide and lecture on how I revolutionized general management, making it participative & horizontal. I’ve written several books on myself and my vision of the world of work – and I read management at Harvard. That’s me recently on the picture. Guess who I am?”

Update November 19th 2006 1:44 am Paris time: Congratulations to Rupert who recognized Ricardo Semler on the picture. Rupert is Austrian, and Ricardo’s parents are Austrian too – although Ricardo was born in Brazil. Is that how you came up with the right answer Rup?

I’ll start writing a post on Semco and Ricardo Semler; stay tuned.
