Highly recommended: a visit to recently opened Quai Branly Modern Art museum in Paris

(Another post focusing hard on Information Technology
)
In a really astonishing building designed by Jean Nouvel, 3 minutes walking from the Eiffel Tower stands the Musée du Quai Branly.
I’m usually into museums, I love them all but few make me feel special. Quai Branly is however one of these: you would expect the usual, boring path, starting from the Middle Ages religious paintings and climbing ages up to impressionism, expressionism, dadaism, constructivism and abstractionism.
Not at all! The visit is a trip within the diversity of world cultures: from the moment you start walking in the permanent exhibition until you finish, you have crossed 4 continents, namely Oceania, Asia, Africa and America. Funny thing: I believe transitions between continents have been thought thoroughly since it often took me several minutes before I realized I had switched geographical and time area (well, colors on the floor change to help you notice).
By the way, the atmosphere inside is really amazing: could you believe I was feeling more in a trendy, sophisticated Parisian lounge than in a museum? Same for the enlightened garden or the cafeteria.
Musée du Quai Branly? A must-see for all Modern Art lovers and people enjoying beautiful architectures, &/or cosy atmospheres.
