MacSaber, a killer app

I’m found of MacSaber. Using MacSaber software alone justifies a USD2500 expense for a MacBook Pro – I actually don’t feel bad about having spent twice the market value for my device anymore. Many thanks to Ian Anthony Maddox, the developer who came up with this thrilling idea. MacSaber is the exact application Apple needed to kill Google, Microsoft, Creative Labs and Sony.

Disclaimer: if you see someone weird playing with a Mac laptop in the snowy streets of Paris today, well, that was probably me.

  • Let's hope Apple will authorize third parties widgets & apps for the iPhone. Could be nice to see millions of people swinging their hands in the air playing Anakin against Obiwan...
  • It's hard to judge humour online, but I hope you're not doing this with your laptop :)

Incidentally, I hear that Apple's products are priced quite competitive for the technical specs you get. Not too many core duo-lappies around at the time you got your mbp, I think. Now of course this argument no longer applies. :/
  • Hey Jeremy, did you see the article on Mac user v iFags by Jeff Kee? I blogged it from my point of view (tongue in cheek) and got labelled Mac user AND iFag!! Quite funny. Check it out,
  • Hey Ed, I saw your post. Here's the answer I tried to post in the comment section, but I provisionally use Tor and I was said Tor users can't post comments due to abuse.

"Congrats to Jeff Kee! At last a graphic designer who doesn't care too much about 'looking cool with a beautiful Mac laptop', but for whom productivity matters.

WinXP and now Vista are extremely stable environments, on which you can chose the brand of your laptop/PC and have loads of software available. Frankly, I acknowledge my MacBook Pro is beautiful, but I miss good old PC - as I lose so much time looking for the right software.

Hey Ed, great post as usual. I'm not an iFag (you would've noticed...), but really? You wouldn't buy a PC again even if you get paid?"
  • Wow, I did a search for "Jeff Kee" related to "Microsoft" just out of curiosity and this page was... #7 or so.. anyhow.

Well thank you for acknowledging my pure thirst for productivity and results!

Besides. When i have my printer, wireless keyboard/mouse, external HD hooked up, and i need to hook up my camera, tehre's nothing better than my 17 inch HP Pavilion with 4!!! USB ports on it. Didn't have to spend the extra however many dollars for a USB hub.

Results are the most important thign sto me when I'm working. It's the same for my clients. They dont' give a rat's ass if I'm cool enough to have a Mac or not - if the file's there ready for print, they pay me.
