5 reasons I like my iPod Shuffle 1Gb (& 3 leads to improve it)

5 reasons I like my iPod:

  1. It’s small and hence handy (real size here on the picture).
  2. Still, buttons are of reasonable size so that it’s not hard at all to switch track whilst running.
  3. The autonomy’s pretty excellent (about 12 hours listening to music).
  4. It’s water resistant (let’s put it that way).
  5. The clip doesn’t get tired easily, and it fastens to your clothes surprisingly well.

However, it’s not perfect at all. Here’s why:

  1. Standard Apple headphones aren’t adapted to running (don’t stick to my ears).
  2. It’s rather expensive for what it is (1Gb of hard drive only).
  3. No screen so you don’t get to know what song you’re playing, but you knew about that when you bought the device so it’s your fault.

    I totally agree with you; at the beginning I was amazed by the size and convenience (no need to juggle with my ipod, my bag, my book and my transportation card in the underground anymore, the clip is definitely useful), but now I am adding more and more songs and I start to get really bored when trying to recognize the beginning of the special song I want to hear… So I am waiting for an Ipod “pico” (10^-12) with a clip!

    Too bad we never met @ HEC, but we know Nathanael, whom you worked for in Miami, in common I guess.

    Nice and short review. I’d like a pico as well :) . About the headphones. As a fairly experienced runner, I can say, either wear a hat (which can be annoying in summer) or get some you can attach to your head. The in-ear ones are pretty useless for running, and I don’t even get why they are included with a “for-sports” device.

    “It’s rather expensive for what it is (1Gb of hard drive only).” It is not hard drive which is why it work swhile running. It is solid state made with flash memory.

    i like it it is nice but the 1 gb is too small i won it so idc
