10 Blogging Tips

1 – Write short titles to ease RSS feed reading (thx Dave)

2 – Allow entire posts to be read through RSS feeds (more convenient for the user) and not just the beginning of the post (don’t do like Julienco ;-) )

3 – Keep the KISSS rule in mind: Keep It Simple & Short, Stupid!

4 – If you had to think about one thing before pushing the ‘publish’ button, than rework on your title: it’s all marketing but your title is SO important

5 – One Post, One Pic

6 – Don’t change your layout every fuxxing single day: it’s a branding item on its own

7 – Answer all comments to show you care about people taking some time to read and leave value adding comments: stay close to your ‘consumers’ and ‘contributors’

8 – Remove spam comments & trackbacks quickly

9 – Don’t mention other bloggers just to mention them if you don’t have anything interesting to say – unless you’re thanking them for something: people are fed up with name dropping

10 – Make people believe you’re a blogging guru by writing 10 blogging tips

Addendum Tuesday 5th June 2007: after one month of intense guerrilla, Julienco mentioned in my second tip finally decided to make a bright move and display full blogposts through RSS feeds. Next step as I said to Julien51 (another one) on Twitter: have Julienco add the U.[Lik] widget.
