Yes, there are Live Marketplace for Xbox and Playstation Network for PS3, but they are marketplaces for developers to sell their products, just like Wii's WiiWare.

In my opinion Nintendo Channel goes much further than both, as it is a direct communication/marketing/advertising channel for mostly Nintendo (instead of game developers). I might have not explained it very well actually in my post, but in my opinion, it gives mcuh more direct contact with the consumer and Nintendeo. The fact that there are interviews with Miyamato and the feedback/tracking thing are something that I've not seen elsewhere.

Where Sony and Microsoft just sell you a device and let you and developers shape what happens, Nintendo has (and always has had) more total control of your experience. With Wii they try to make that experience more human and direct.

True, not maybe "blue ocean", but the level of involvement in the "after-sales" experience is in another level than with so called competitors.

Hmm, I'm not sure if this applies as "blue ocean" strategy, which I thought was a strategy aimed at non-consumers, and which is hard to replicate by your already-entrenched competitors.

Don't channels like this already exist on Xbox, and very likely other platforms as well? At this point, this whole social dimension seems like something that people expect to be a core-component of the game-(console)-environment.
